Welcome! You've stumbled upon my bio–last chance to navigate away…okay, here goes:

I grew up in southeast Iowa, bouncing around a bit during my high school years, but Iowa still feels like home and I have fond memories of it. Growing up I was drawing, always drawing, reading comics and then drawing Supes and Spidey and the Legion. I attended Iowa State University in Ames for the first half of the '90s, and came away with a degree in advertising. Then it was back to Iowa for an industrial marketing job.

After two years of designing ads, buying trade ads, coordinating direct mail, etc. I was ready for a change; a suggestion from a buddy and a $2000 loan from my Dad moved me to Kansas City where I've been ever since.

I took another industrial job, designing catalogs and posters and gradually learning how to create web sites. I was fortunate to work with some very cool people there, given a chance to try new things. When an opportunity to work for a kids' marketing agency came along I jumped at it, but I do miss those old colleagues.

Which brings to here, to now, to today. I have found my calling: to do really great work, receive adoration and accolades from satisfied clients and envious colleagues, and help other people get their passions working for them. I have a wonderful family and I consider myself blessed to be able to design and create for a living.
